As many of you know it is the fattened liver of a duck or goose. This delicacy has been around for thousands of years. Earliest known was around 2500 B.C, the time of the Egyptians. Just recently foie gras has been under attack by animal activist groups. The whole controversy is that the technique used to fatten the duck/goose's liver (force feeding) is inhumane. I myself have seen pictures of the holding cells and the way they feed the animals.
I do think that the process is rather quite gruesome, but I support the foie gras factories none the less and for a couple of reasons.

1. All ducks/geese are gonna die anyway, might as well fatten them up and roast them.

2. The only reason the processing of the animals should stop is if they become endangered.

As you can see my pallet is not very acceptable to animal activist or vegetarians. But that is life there are vegetarians and there are carnivores no in between. You either eat dead animals or save them. Sorry to put it so bluntly but that is the opinionated truth. Anyone can disagree or agree with me but, I firmly stand on the side of the carnivores.

So, I want to know what you think about this whole topic. Should we save the planet and the little duckies or, eat our way to our demise because whether we like it or not, it is coming? So farewell to all, and for know I leave you with word some other person said "I support PETA People Eating Tasty Animals." Thank you person who has graced the world with you saying.

Happy Eating Everybody!

Cheese!

If you are a fan of semi-soft, sharp, goat cheese or chevre this is a fabulous cheese.
Capricio de Cabra
You can find it in most Whole Foods' cheese section.
